Memories

Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Don't send a message, leave a comment on here. Next, re-post this in your notes and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. Repost as "memories."

- I Call It Love
I don't know if I'm behind on the times, but I just found out that Google has provided all of Mountain View with free Wi-Fi... in fact, that's what I'm using right now!  How cool is that?!?  All you need is a Google account.  Whee!  Anyone need invitations?  (Do they still use invitations?)

On another note, I test-drove the Hybrid Prius and the Hybrid Camry.  Prius: , but it has a lot of practical value, such as price and the carpool bonus.  Camry: , it's set up more like a classic car and I absolutely love it!  I almost feel like the Camry's a luxury car, except it's a Camry.

The only thing about cars though is that since my parents are paying for 2 private school tuitions, I have (*crie*) generously offered to postpone the purchase of a car for me until after school is over with.  No worries though, I'm long-term borrowing my dad's SUV to use as transportation.  But this car is making a bunch of odd sounds, which is why there's no way in heck that I'd ever want to permanently have this car.

Alright, time to go home and sleep.  I'm supposed to be at work at 7a tomorrow! T_T

PS  I don't know if I have the album correct, but "I Call It Love" by Lionel Richie has been stuck in my head all summer.  I just can't get it out of my head! ^_^

Well, it's halfway through the summer in the blink of an eye.  Stanford Waltz and Swing Week was awesome!  I no longer am going to SLX because I will be going to Yosemite instead.  I do want to go to Seattle 2 weekends after though because they're having a Lindy Hop Masters Weekend where all of the top dogs of lindy and tap will show.  But airfare is rocketing now so I don't know whether I'll go or not.

I've been doing a lot more SoCal trips than I originally planned.  But who knew I would miss my boyfriend? I suppose most people say "Duh!" but I'm always a hard head, so I'm always thinking "Meh, I can get through it.  At least we're in the same time zone so we can talk without any time barriers."  But no, I miss him.  But this is a good sign I guess

*sigh*  It's uber hot these days, so I'm cooking in the community room where I get my internet access in my apartment.  I guess I'll keep this entry short so I won't be roast duck.

Whee!  It's finals again, and of course clearly the best time to update my Xanga.  Things have been hectic this whole quarter, but it's been a blast CAing in Frosoco (that's an RA plus an academic advisor combined into one person for those of you unfamiliar with the term).  I cried my eyeballs out when I left Okada last year, and I think I'll do it again this year.  I thought last year it happened because I had to say bye to everyone at the same time (because I left earlier than some of my residents) but this year I've already gotten teary eyed when just one person approached me to say goodbye... *crie* I don't know how I'm going to get through the rest of the people with whom I have yet to say bye

On a cheerier note, I found an apartment with my friend Kathy.  She graduated from Berkeley and will be working for Lockheed-Martin.  I am not graduating quite yet, but I'll be working for Lockheed-Martin over the summer and we get along so things will be awesome!

I'll also do a bit of travelling as well.  I'll be trekking Hokaiddo, Japan this September on a tour with my family and family friends.  The tour will be in Chinese, so it will be interesting to see how I fare.  I lasted pretty well last time, but Jeff and I broke down in the end, made friends with the other college-aged students, and all sat in the back of the bus eating, sleeping, and chatting.  Jeff's not coming this time, so we'll see how I fare

I am also planning on going to the Seattle Lindy Hop Exhcange this year.  I went the first time two years ago and had fun, so I'd like to do it again this year.  We'll see if I save enough money to do this!  It will be during the first weekend of August.  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Here on campus, I'll be participating in the Stanford Waltz and Swing week, held in the second week of July.  In case you didn't catch the trend, I'm very much into delving back into the dance community, something I fell out of over the past two years of RAing.  I'm sooooooo ready to hop back in and get my groove on!

Sometimes it's fun to have power over someone... which includes getting hiim to dress in a Japanese schoolgirl outfit and dance to Japanese Omake video
